In-Situ Raman Pressure Battery Test Cell Model: RM-P2E
RM-P2E In-Situ Raman Pressure Battery Test Cell
A sealed two-electrode cell for in-situ Raman monitoring during battery cycling under pressurized or vacuum conditions.
Product Overview
The RM-P2E is a sealed two-electrode battery test cell integrating in-situ Raman measurement with electrochemical cycling under controlled pressure or vacuum conditions. Its sapphire optical window and short sample-to-window distance facilitate Raman signal collection, while the titanium cell body, PEEK insulation, and O-ring sealing provide chemical resistance and reliable airtightness. Designed for battery materials research, it supports real-time monitoring of structural and interfacial changes during charge/discharge testing at pressures up to 1 MPa. Vacuum operation is supported by replacing the pressure gauge with a compatible vacuum gauge.
Key Features
• In-situ Raman Monitoring
Enables real-time Raman characterization of electrode materials during battery charge/discharge operation
• Pressure/Vacuum Operation
Supports electrochemical cycling under controlled pressure or vacuum conditions with interchangeable gauges
• Glovebox-Compatible Sealing
Provides reliable airtight sealing for glovebox assembly and subsequent operation under ambient conditions

Related Published Application
In-situ Raman Tracking of Stepwise Polyiodide Conversion
The cell used in this study, supplied by Beyond Battery under product code RM-2E, was coupled with a Renishaw inVia Raman microscope using 532 nm excitation and a CHI660E workstation to investigate KB–I₂ cathodes in aqueous Zn–I₂ batteries. During galvanostatic cycling, in-situ Raman spectra tracked I₃⁻ and I₅⁻ intermediates, revealing that ectoine promoted a stepwise I₅⁻ → I₃⁻ → I⁻ conversion pathway while suppressing polyiodide shuttling.
Demonstrated Capabilities of the Base RM-2E Configuration
- Simultaneous Raman acquisition and galvanostatic cycling
- Real-time differentiation of I₃⁻ and I₅⁻ intermediates
- Electrolyte-dependent tracking of iodine conversion pathways
