Three-chamber PEEK gas diffusion electrochemical cells featuring an optical observation window for direct process viewing, with 7 mm or 3 mm electrode spacing. 

Product Overview

The EC-GDE3 / EC-GDE4 gas diffusion electrochemical flow cells are designed for advanced catalyst evaluation and moderate- to high-current-density testing. Their three-chamber, three-electrode configuration enables direct gas delivery to a sheet-type gas diffusion electrode together with controlled electrolyte circulation. A high-purity quartz observation window provides direct visualization of flooding, bubble formation, and salt deposition during operation.

Published Application Example

High-Rate CO₂ Electroreduction to Ethylene
A three-chamber flow cell was used to evaluate surface N-coordinated Cu gas-diffusion electrodes for CO₂ electroreduction. Continuous 1.0 M KOH circulation, controlled CO₂ delivery and three-electrode operation enabled evaluation of product selectivity, impedance, stability and moderate-to-high-current-density performance. The optimized catalyst achieved an ethylene Faradaic efficiency of 73.2% and an ethylene partial current density of −700.8 mA cm⁻².
